Online Psychic Jobs: Are They Real?

images (1)There are several different types of psychic jobs available, including telephone or online psychic, work-at-home psychic, etc. Some of the best psychics with the strongest abilities have also assisted the authorities in gathering information on missing persons and various crimes. This is the exception rather than the rule, but it goes to show the kind of opportunities that are out there for people with true psychic gifts.

Psychic jobs are always available for good psychics who want to work from home. My insight for living happily as a professional psychic is to start with a good, reliable, large and established psychic company AND be independent too.

I decided to just dig in and find out what the real deal is on working at home as a psychic.

First Things First, I’m a Realist…

black-phoneCalling a psychic hotline or speaking with a psychic online is not something I’ve ever done. And even if I did decide to, I’m doubtful the person will give me “futuristic” information. I think what they are doing is letting people talk. Talk about life, love, heartache… letting people talk is cathartic, freeing and ultimately helpful for most. This in itself is certainly a service. Just like therapy. Having someone to talk to is not a luxury everyone has. And even if there are a million people in our lives to talk to, the idea of talking to someone who is completely objective and doesn’t know a thing about you is somewhat appealing if not downright needed for some.

I’ll be honest – I did therapy for 4 months about 10 years ago. I wasn’t coping with a family death well. It was very helpful. It was nice to just talk. But if I hadn’t had insurance, I couldn’t have done it. Admittedly though, I think you could rack up some significant debt calling psychic hotlines too. So there is expense involved with both. And I am certainly not saying a psychic hotline is a replacement for getting professional therapy. Not in the least. I am saying there is money being made for both.

Who Can REALLY Be a Psychic?

Well – certainly people that really ARE psychic. I watch the show Long Island Medium. Honestly, I see no way for Theresa Caputo to “fake” what she does. I believe. And I also believe she’s making money hand over fist. Are you kidding? Thousands and thousands a month would be my guess. I love her and I think what she does is beyond incredible and amazing. I think she really helps people. But what about you and me? Dead people are not talking to us.

Some ask for experience doing readings, some do not. I would think having some experience would be helpful because ultimately you’re wanting to build a clientele. Being more comfortable in your own skin and having practice seems logical. But I went to one psychic “adviser” site and you just need to sign up. That’s it. Sign up, set your rate, create a profile – and you’re in business. Interesting.

R E S P E C T

Listen, I respect everyone out there that’s working hard to make ends meet. I certainly believe in angels, spirits, souls and ghosts. I also, very much believe that some people are gifted and indeed have psychic abilities. There’s too much out there that is just unexplainable and I would never sit here and profess to know it all. Props to psychics. But after looking around at some of these job ads, I feel like I can be a psychic too. Yep – right now, today. And I know for a fact that I don’t have any psychic abilities. But I AM a good listener. I do have a fabulous radio voice. And I do have a landline.

Now there are some sites that will require you to do readings for them. These will be evaluated and only after passing evaluation will you be let into their “network”. That seems a bit more legit. But how hardcore these evaluations are – I’m not sure. Maybe someone that’s been through one or one of the psychic sites can chime in the comments section below and let us know.

Making Money as a Work from Home Psychic

Yes, there is money to be made. It varies from site to site. Some let you set your own rate. I saw one that paid .30 per talk minute and another ad saying that you can make more than $1000+ a week. So yes – lots of range there. Looking over several sites – a time investment of at least 20 hours is needed to make some income. As with any independent contractor job of this nature, I think it comes down to “what you put in, you get out”. So arranging your schedule for the highest volume call times (seems to be evenings and late night) and working 30+ hours a week is going to garner the best chance to make “a living”.

Some sites even suggest that $1500 a week is possible…

Final Thoughts on Being an At Home Psychic

I’m not going to lie…. this fascinates me. I’m at somewhat of a crossroads in my career-hood and digging deep to find something I love and that excites me. I’m tempted to give this a try. Am I psychic…. I don’t think so. Do I love to talk to people and listen – yes. Would I love to learn tarot cards? Yes. I have a deck I received as a gift two years ago and can’t seem to carve out the time to learn it. Do I think it’s voodoo, witchcraft or devil worship? No.

Having a flexible career that you can do from home that primarily involves chatting with people about what’s bothering them, worrying them… it sounds very rewarding actually.

What about you? Is this something you’d do full time as a career? Have you done it before?
